Our Islamically Integrated Language Arts Level One Unit provides a comprehensive approach to language skills. Designed for Muslim children aged 6 to 10, this unit focuses on developing effective communication, comprehension, and self-expression.
To help you decide whether this resource is a good fit for your child or learning setting, you are invited to download the sample pages provided below. These samples are intended to give you a clear understanding of the content, layout and structure, allowing you to make an informed decision before purchasing the full unit.
The key areas covered:
Writing Skills: Children learn to write simple sentences and short paragraphs with correct grammar, punctuation, and capitalisation. Children then move onto descriptive paragraphs and eventually narrative stories. The emphasis is on clear and organised writing, as well as expressing thoughts and ideas coherently.
Grammar and Language Structure: Basic grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structure are recapped. This is explored more in depth in our Language Arts: Level One: Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling unit.
Vocabulary Development: Students expand their vocabulary by learning new words and their meanings through reading and context. They also develop the ability to use appropriate words in speaking and writing.
This unit aims to develop your child’s ability to communicate effectively, comprehend meaningfully and express themselves with confidence in the English language. All content is intentionally designed for Muslim children, incorporating Islamic manners, values and perspectives, and referencing situations and experiences that align with their faith, identity and everyday lives.
