This Geography Bundle brings together our Oceans and Continents units, offering a rich and engaging exploration of the world above and below the surface.

Designed especially for Muslim children, these units connect geographical knowledge to the signs of Allah, helping children develop understanding, curiosity and gratitude as they learn about the earth He has entrusted to us.

Oceans Unit

Children dive into the wonders of the world’s oceans, discovering how Allah has created balance, beauty and purpose beneath the waves. Topics explored include:

• The five oceans and their zones

• Ocean tides, currents and salinity

• Cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons

• Marine life, coral reefs and ocean ecosystems

• Environmental responsibility, including ocean pollution and conservation

• Maritime history, including the astrolabe and an introduction to latitude and longitude

• The role of the oceans in trade, travel and the spread of Islam by sea

Through experiments, creative activities and reflective discussions, children gain a deeper appreciation of the oceans as a sign of Allah’s wisdom and power.

Continents Unit

Travelling across land, children explore the seven continents and the diversity Allah has placed upon the earth. This unit introduces:

• The seven continents and their countries, rivers, mountains, lakes and landmarks

• People, cultures and religions across different regions

• Native animals and plants from around the world

• The spread of Islam through land routes and civilisations

• Connections between geography, environment and human responsibility

Children are encouraged to recognise diversity as part of Allah’s design while developing respect and understanding for the world’s peoples and places.
